It all starts with the right education.

Here are just a few of the many types of job opportunities available to our graduates:

Hairstylist

Hairstylists use a combination of cutting, texturing, and coloring techniques to help individuals look and feel their best. This rewarding career allows you to combine your creative and professional skills to build a clientele and see immediate results every day as your clients leave the salon.

Colorist

A colorist is a licensed cosmetologist who chooses to specialize in hair color. Working with each client to determine the best color for her personality, skin tone, hair type, and maintenance needs, you’ll need a great sense of color and a strong understanding of the products that make it all possible. Most colorists take advanced training courses and attend seminars to keep up on the latest trends. The color business can be both lucrative and rewarding!

Esthetician

The demand for qualified estheticians continues to grow as more people become concerned about both the appearance and the health of their skin. Estheticians clean and beautify by giving facials, skin treatments, head and neck massages, and makeup applications. There are opportunities for estheticians in salons, day spas, health clubs and resorts. Advanced training can lead to opportunities to work with a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon.

Makeup Artist

Choosing to work as a makeup artist can land you a job in a salon or spa, but there are also many other opportunities such as working for a bridal shop or photography studio, working in theater, movies or television, or working with models  in the fast-paced runway world. Makeup artists can produce dramatic and immediate changes in a clients’ appearance.

Salon/Spa Owner

If you have a mind for business along with a creative passion for beauty, your perfect job may be to own your own salon or spa one day. Owning a business can bring bigger financial rewards, but it takes experience, training, management skills, and the right attitude. CCU College offers management and business training to help you gain the basic skills to start you on your way!
